Transcript of the Will of Agnes Vowles (nee Weaver) 1872 - 1942
This is the last Will and Testament of me AGNES VOWLES
of 38 Coldharbour Road Redland in the City and County of
Bristol Widow. I revoke all wills heretofore made by me I appoint my son Thomas
Edgar Vowles of 30 Wellington Walk Henleaze Bristol Dairyman and my Daughter
Rose Savory Wife of Albert James Savory of 116 Aubrey Road Bedminster Bristol to
be the Executors and Trustees of this my will. I give and bequeath the followign
pecuniary legacies viz;- To my daughter Agnes Daisy Thomas (Widow) of 7 Addicott
Road Weston-Super-Mare Two hundred pounds To my daughter the said Rose Savory
one hundred pounds and to my son Victor Stanley Vowles Two hundred pounds each
free of duty All the rest residue and remainder of my estate I give devise and
bequeath the same unto and equally between my daughters the said Agnes Daisy
Thomas and Rose Savory and my son the said Victor Stanley Vowles And in case
either of my said daughters Agnes Daisy Thomas and Rose Savory or my son the
said Victor Stanley Vowles shall predecease me leaving issue then I give and
bequeath her his or their shares under this my will including the aforementioned
legacies to his her or their issue and equally between them if more than one
such issue however only to take the share which his her or their parent or
parents would have taken under this my Will had he she or they survived me and
in case my son the said Victor Stanley Vowles shall predecease me without
leaving issue but a widow surviving then I give and bequeath such Widow of my
said son a legacy or sum of Twenty five pounds free of death or other duty and
the residue of his share under this my Will including the aforesaid legacy
bequeathed to him I give and bequeath the same unto and equally between my
daughters the said Rose Savory and Agnes Daisy Thomas and my son the said Thomas
Edgar Vowles or to such of them as shall be then living I have excluded my son
the said Thomas Edgar Vowles from any benefits under this my Will (except in the
circumstances arising in the case of the death of my Son the said Victor Stanley
Vowles hereinbefore mentioned) as I have already provided for him during my
lifetime In the event of my estate at the time of my decease being insufficient
to pay the aforesaid legacies in full then I hereby declare that the Legacy to
my daughter the said Agnes Daisy Thomas shall be paid in full and the remaining
two legacies abate accordingly
IN WITNESS whereof I have hereunto set my hand this Eighth day of January
one thousand nine hundred and forty.

in the presence of us both being present at the same time who at her request in
her presence and in the presence of each other have hereunto subscribed our
