Transcript of the Will of Hannah Boler, formerly Fowler 1777 - 1848
In the Name of God Amen – I Hannah Boler of Glapwell in the Parish of Bolsover, in the County of Derby, being sick and weak in Body but of perfect Mind and Memory, thanks be given unto God, therefore calling into mind the mortality of my Body, and knowing that it is appointed unto all men once to die do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament: That is to say principally and first of all I give and commend my Soul into the Hands of Almighty God that gave it, and my Body I commend to the Earth to be buried in decent Christian Burial at the Discretion of my Executors, nothing doubting but at the general Resurrection, I shall receive the same again by the Almighty Power of God. And as touching such worldly Estate wherewith it hath pleased God to bless me in this Life, I give and bequeath of the same in the following manner and form. First I do hereby ordain and constitute my much beloved Sons, John Boler and Thomas Boler, my Executors of this my last Will and Testament. And likewise I leave and bequeath unto my much beloved Sons John Boler and Thomas Boler, the said Joint Executors all my Cattle, Husbandry Implements, Household Goods, moveable Effects and all I am possessed of.
Secondly, I leave and bequeath unto my much beloved Daughters, Hannah Boler, Lavinia Boler, Esther Boler and Rachel Boler, Ten Pounds each of good and lawful money of Great Britain, to be paid by my said beloved Sons, John Boler and Thomas Boler my said Joint Executors.
