Transcript of the Will of John Boler died 1805
This is the last Will and Testament of me John Boler of Glapwell in the County of Derby Farmer. I Do hereby dispose of my money plate Horses Cows and all other my Personal Estate in manner following. First after all any just Debts and Financial Expenses are Paid I give and bequeath to my son George Boler the sum of Thirty pounds and to my son Charles Boler the sum of Thirty pounds to be paid to them by my Executor hereinafter named one year after my decease. And I further Will order and direct that my wife Elizabeth Boler shall be properly maintained by my Executor during the time she resides with him and if my wife wishes to retire and provide for herself I give and bequeath to her the Bed and bedding which she now Seth with one pair of sheets and every thing now used with the said bed for her own use and benefit. and further I give and bequeath to my wife the sum of Twelve pounds a year for her life to be paid to her quarterly by my said Executor the first payment thereof to be made upon the first quarter \day/ that shall happen after my decease upon this express condition that she provide for herself in every respect.
Also I give and bequeath to my son John Boler the Residue and remainder of my money Goods Stock and personal Estate after my Debts and legacies are paid. And I do hereby constitute and appoint my said son John Boler sole Executor of this my last Will and Testament. In Witness whereof I the said Testator \have/ set my hand and seal this seventeenth Day of July in the year of our Lord One Thousand Eight Hundred and Five
