Transcript of the Will / Administration of John Harris abt 1787 - 1854
In the Name of God Amen I John Harris of Bugbrooke in the County of
Northampton Carrier Do make, publish and declare this to be my last Will and
Testament in manner following that is to say all my Household Goods and
Furniture and all my Property I give devise and bequeath to my beloved Wife
Elizabeth Harris, at the time of my decease, I John Harris [crossed out] and to
be disposed of by her as she thinks fit.
Signed by the said John Harris the Testator as his last Will and Testament in
the presence of us present at the same time who at his request in his presence
and in the presence of each other have subscribed our names as Witnesses

In the Consistory Court of Peterborough –
On the tenth day of February 1855 Elizabeth Harris of Bugbrooke in the County of
Northampton Widow was then sworn well and faithfully to administer the goods
chattels and credits of the within named John Harris deceased and also to perform and
fulfil his aforegoing last Will and Testament according to law (no Executor
Executrix being named appointed therein) – and that the deceased at the time of
his death (which happened on the 11th day of October 1854) was not possessed of
goods chattels and credits of the Value of fifty pounds –
